What is MyVAT?
If you’re selling B2C within the EU, MyVAT allows you to import and sell low-value items (at or under €150) across the whole of the EU, using one IOSS number. Through MyVAT, you’ll receive an IOSS VAT-number, which means you can import your products into any EU country, without paying duty or VAT at import. Starting from as little as €10 per month, MyVAT allows you to import to the EU effortlessly, which means you can spend your valuable time on the things that matter most for your business.
MyVAT is an automated solution for the EU’s IOSS (Import One-Stop Shop) scheme. Which allows both non-EU and EU businesses, to import to the EU in a special way, paying no duty on imports and only paying VAT to one EU tax authority – acting on behalf of the whole EU. MyVAT makes IOSS compliance simple. Through IOSS, you’ll only need to make one monthly VAT payment and return. Note that the IOSS VAT-number you’ll receive only applies to packages valued at or under €150.
In addition to being duty free, using IOSS means you only need one registration for your low value consignments.
